About ICT Cluster   
 
  Barcelona Digital’s ICT Cluster is an Association of Innovative Enterprises (AIE) created as a meeting place and networking for start-ups, small and medium companies and other entities for the use of boosting the competitiveness of Catalan ICT sector, promoting a new corporate culture based on collaboration and open innovation.

 

It is a social network model, based on the strength of interactions between ICT enterprises for generating synergies, knowledge and project between them.

 

The ICT Cluster of Barcelona Digital is registered in the registry of the Industry, Tourism and Commerce Ministry of Spanish Government since 2008.

What is a cluster?
A cluster is a combination of companies, knowledge centres, public bodies, not-for-profit organizations and financial institutions, centred in a given geographical location and interacting around a specific economic activity, sharing common strategic challenges.
What is an AIE?
An Association of Innovative Enterprises (AIE) is a term coined by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce to describe not-for-profit organisations whose structure is specifically designed to promote interaction and cooperation between the various agents encompassed in a given cluster.
