Smart City   
 
  The Smart City concept is a challenge for cities in the area of technological, social and economic innovation, associated directly with citizens, industry and administration.

 

Smart City initiative requires a future vision, raising the cities as a real challenge with deeps implications for the economic and social field.

 

The Smart City working group seeks to develop solutions, services or projects of direct application in the technological cities, exploiting the opportunity offered by OpenData project of the Barcelona City Council.

The results of the group will serve to improve the SIIUR project.

    Session to determine the state of the art and identify business opportunities with other ICT companies to develop solutions and services through collaborative projects around the Smart Cities.

    This session discussed, debated and analyzed the different needs and opportunities in the ICT sector in order to face together the technological challenges.

  • Session 2 - Detection of ICT solutions
    June 6, 2011, in Barcelona Activa

    The second meeting identified possible areas of action and ICT solutions in facing the technological challenges and needs of the sector.

  • Session 3 - Specific project
    June 20, 2011, in Barcelona Activa

    During the third meeting, the working group developed and formulated the operational conclusions. In the session, three new sub working groups were created: Green IT & Tourism; Business Model; and Vertical services.
