The R&D Food and Environment department (ALiM) of Barcelona Digital aims to research and apply new ICT technologies to products design, systems and services, improving the resources management in the agro-food and environmental sector.
The ALiM team is located in Lleida. Its purpose is to improve the connection between agro-food and environmental sector. With the opening-up of the ICT building inside the Scientific and Technological Agro-food Park (Lleida), Barcelona Digital reinforces its position in Catalonia and promotes increases in productivity and competitiveness through ICT research and development.
The ALiM unit is collaborating with companies, universities and public administrations linked with the agro-food and the environmental sector: Atos, Agbar, Gallina Blanca Star, Biocentury, Capsa, Centa, CNTA, Cetaqua, Departament d’Agricultura, Ramaderia, Pesca, Alimentació i Medi Natural, ICA, IRTA, Inforolot, Ibermática, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Trinity College of Dublin, Universitat de Lleida, Cardiff University, University of Sheffield, Universiteit Utrecht, Norwegian university of Science and Technology, Watercycle reasearch Institute (KWR), National Technical University of Athenas, German Gas and Waterworks Association o la Kommunale Wasserwerke Leipzig GmbH, among others.
