on the 5th Edition of the world conference Counter-eCrime Operations Summit (CeCOS V)
, which was held from 26 to 29 April in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
In particular, Felguera
has participated in the debate table 21 Century Law Enforcement - Needs and Challenges, which has analyzed the strengths and legislation limitations to face the cyber threats, as well as the main needs and future challenges that cause this type of fraud. Felguera

This year's meeting has been focused on the development of response paradigms and resources for counter-ecrime managers and forensic professionals. Along three days, international experts has presented case studies of national and regional economies under attack, narratives of successful trans-national forensic cooperation as well as models for cooperation and unified response against ecrime and data resources for forensic activities.
In this sense, Barcelona Digital
has a research line specialized in R&D&I applied to the security
and aimed at the protect property. The main lines of action of the group are the methods to prevent and mitigate cybercrime and tools of automatic response to the attacks, technologies for the detection of online bank fraud, identification, access control and biometry, as well as reputable and trustworthy.
The security team works in continuous contact with the main research groups (local, national and international) in order to bring the latest technological advances to the Catalan ICT industry.
